Hi undergrads,

The UA Committee on Student Life’s Wellness Week is here! Take some time 
to reflect on your exercise, eating habits, and stress management. Not 
quite where you want to be? Don't worry! Below is a list of events 
taking place during Wellness Week to help you reach your personal health 
goals.

WELLNESS WEEK 2009
April 27th - May 2nd
9 - 10 AM: FREE BREAKFAST everyday (Student Center Steps)
11 AM - 1 PM: FREE FRUIT everyday (Student Center Steps)

Monday, April 27th
11 AM - 1PM: Wellness Week KICKOFF! (Kresge Oval)
Relieve your stress with some games and fun! Enter the raffle for $25 
gift cards to Shaws and $25 gift cards to the MIT bookstore!
7 PM- 8 PM: Sex101 (5-134) - Sponsored by Medlinks
Come get any sex questions you have answered by our sexpert Kate McCarthy

Tuesday, April 28th
11 AM - 2 PM: Yoga, Pilates, Taekwondo workshops (Twenty Chimneys, W20-306)
Check out these beginner sessions and learn some great techniques to 
keep in shape!
7 – 8 PM: How to Cheat Sleep! – Sponsored by Medlinks (4-231)
Hear MIT Medical’s Zan Barry give her famous presentation on how to 
improve your sleeping habits!

Wednesday, April 29th
11 AM - 2 PM: OUTDOOR RECEPTION (Kresge Oval)
Learn more about all the health groups and resources on campus. 
Representatives from MIT Medical, MIT-EMS, Red Cross/ARCTAN, SHAC, 
Active Minds, Medlinks, and many more will be there to answer your 
questions! There will also be plenty of free food samples from vendors 
on and off campus!
4 PM - 5 PM: How to have a Meaningful Conversation (Little Kresge)
Come learn about ways to help a friend in stress from our expert Chad 
Waxman, Center for Health Promotion and Wellness
7:30 - 8:30 PM: Out of the Darkness (1-375) - Sponsored by Active Minds
Colleen Coffey, Program Manager for the National Mental Health Awareness 
Campaign, will be here to talk about ways one can deal with stress.

Thursday, April 30th
11 AM - 2 PM: Active Minds Bubble Fest (Student Center Steps)
Relieve your stress by stomping on bubble wrap while drinking bubble tea 
and blowing bubbles

Friday, May 1st
9 PM - 12 AM: SaveTFP Carnival (Kresge Oval)
Celebrate the end of the week with some freshly made smoothies!

Saturday, May 2nd
10 AM - 1 PM: Iron Nerd Triathlon (Z-Center)
This is your chance to participate in the Iron Nerd Triathlon (biking, 
swimming, running), right here on campus. Win some great prizes and a 
free Iron Nerd T-shirt! If you are interested in participating, email 
kashifr at mit.edu.
