Student leaders define MIT. They lay the foundations, build the governments, plan the events, and enrich the culture that is MIT.
The Student Leader Awards are here to make sure their hard work gets noticed. But first we need your help...
We need you to nominate your student leaders for this year's awards (see descriptions below):
- Agent of Change Award
- Common Ground Award
- Distinguished Dedication Award
- Legacy Award
- Organizational Excellence Award
- Outstanding Event Award
- Philanthropy Award
- Strength and Conviction Award
Nominating online is easy: just visit <http://web.mit.edu/sla/>, select an award, and type up your 150 word nomination. (150 words is only a couple quick paragraphs, we promise.)
Deadline is just days away... this coming Sunday, April 27 at 11:59 PM.

Award descriptions:
- Agent of Change Award: For strong commitment to and passion for justice and activism
- Common Ground Award: For collaboration and partnership between groups to produce oustanding campus programming
- Distinguished Dedication Award: For individuals who went "above and beyond" as a student leader and who showed dedication to campus life at MIT
- Legacy Award: For making a sustained and outstanding contribution to the MIT community
- Organizational Excellence Award: For positive contributions to MIT, outstanding programming, and a strong organizational structure or government
- Outstanding Event Award: For efforts to plan and implement a well-run, well-advertised, and well-attendended event at MIT
- Philanthropy Award: For coordinating a philanthropy effort on behalf of a charity
- Strength and Conviction Award: For individual efforts on behalf of a group to overcome longstanding or unforeseen challenges
