Dear Undergraduates,

I wanted to inform you of a few quick items:

1) Student Faculty Dinners: Get free food with your favorite professor!
***There is still time to get a group of 3-5 students together for a free dinner
with the faculty member of your choice. This is a great opportunity to meet an
MIT faculty member, get a recommendation, and eat some free food. All
participants will be reimbursed up to $20. You may sign up at
http://ua.mit.edu/institutefacultydinners.html. Spots are filling up quickly,
so organize your groups and invite faculty members now! Please direct
questions to Stephanie at sjyaung at mit.edu.

2) Finance Board Membership: Allocate $200,000 to student groups!
***Finboard is a UA organization of 10 students who allocate around $200,000 per
year to ASA-recognized undergraduate student groups. Interested parties will
work with 20-30 related groups and will be responsible for communicating and
recommending allocation amounts for them. Finboard meets one weekend a
semester with occassional office hours. The time commitment is significant
only in bursts. If you are interested, please download an application at
http://web.mit.edu/finboard/www/. Please direct questions to Hans at
hea at mit.edu.

3) Webmaster: Get paid up to $3000 to design an innovative new UA website!
***Want to put your coding skills to use?  Interested in redesigning the UA
website, aiding with UA transparency, and collaborating with IS&T on a number
of projects?  Apply to serve as the UA Webmaster.  Send a statement of your
qualifications and goals to ua-admin at mit.edu by March 31.

4) UA Committee on Housing Chair: Help shape the future of our campus!
***Want to have a major impact on housing, REX, early returns, deferred
maintenance, and more?  Apply to serve as Chair of the UA Committee on Housing
for the spring semester.  Send a statement of your qualifications and goals to
ua-admin at mit.edu by March 31.

5) Athletics Committee Membership: Strengthen MIT sports!
***Want to improve the quality of student life by helping to promote MIT
athletics?  Contact Sam Jasinski at samj917 at mit.edu to get involved in the
exciting projects the UA Athletics committee has planned for the spring
semester. Our major project this semester will be to institute the first
annual Athletics Weekend!

Thanks for your time! Please feel free to contact any of us if you have any
questions.

Sincerely,
Martin Holmes
UA President
