[UA Update] Help shape the Spring Weekend Concert, Enrollment, or Representation!

Dear Undergraduates,

We hope that your term is wrapping up nicely.  We've been busy in the UA, and
encourage you to take advantage of opportunities to provide us with feedback.

We invite you to become involved with the UA on one of three new committees:

-- UA Events Committee
This committee will be responsible for executing several major events at MIT,
including Fall Festival and Spring Weekend.  This year, it will primarily be in
charge of picking the band to perform at Spring Weekend and organizing the
event.  MIT brought the Ying Yang Twins in 2007 and Cake the year before.  Help
bring some terrific music to campus!

-- UA Committee on Undergraduate Enrollment
With undergraduate enrollment slated to increase to 1,100 students per class in
the next few years, many areas that impact student life may be strained for
resources.  This committee will collaborate with administrators to determine
which, if any, offices, services, and student resources might require further
support.  Given this committee's broad charge, it could focus on anything from
dining to housing to advising to SafeRide.

-- UA Committee on Student Involvement and Representation
Do you know what the UA does?  Do you feel like your student concerns are heard
by administrators?  Be an agent of change!  This committee will examine the
UA's structure and outreach to develop mechanisms to represent students and
lobby the administration more effectively.

** Applications for each of these committees are due by 5:00pm on WEDNESDAY,
DECEMBER 5TH.
