Dear Undergrads,

The UA Committee of Student Life is starting the Mentorship Program, again!
The Mentorship Program is a peer to peer support system that connects
upperclassmen to incoming freshman in the areas of academics,
extracurriculars, and future careers.

Freshman:
Are you having trouble adjusting to MIT life?
Do you know what classes to take?
Do you know the numbers of the courses or what course you want to take?
Do you know how to get involved in the activities that you love?

Become a mentee!

As a mentee, you get to gain advice from upperclassmen in a one-to-one
situation and get to form a personal connection with your mentor. The CSL
holds different functions throughout the semesters that mentor and mentees
attend. These include outings (trips to Six Flags, ice skating, etc.),
study breaks (ice cream socials, gingerbread house making, etc.), and pair
outings (gift certificates to each pair to CPK/Cheesecake Factory). You
also will meet with your mentor/mentee on your own a few times throughout
the semester.

Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores:
Are you missing something in your life?

Become a mentor!

Being a mentor means that you will be responsible for checking up on your
mentee and meeting with them; however, seeing as you will be picking your
mentees you will want to hang out with them! You will get to participate in
all of the above activities with your mentee FOR FREE!!!!

If you are interested in being a mentor/mentee or have any questions, please
email Emily Jean Onufer at ejonufer at mit.edu with...
1) Course
2) Extracurriculars
3) Career Goals
4) Interests
(please make it short and sweet!)

We look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks,

Emily Jean Onufer
