Hey Fellow Undergrads!
Due to lower than expected yield, the deadline for official candidacy for ALL UA
Senate races has been extended until Monday (9/25) at 5pm.
According to the UA Election Code, anybody can apply to be an official candidate
in an uncontested race up until the Late Petition Deadline (Monday at 5pm).
Unfortunately, due to low turnout, the races for all of the UA Senate races so
far are either uncontested or empty. This gives all undergrads the opportunity
to step up and run for Senate.
All you have to do run is fill out the Statement of Candidacy form and the
Campaign Rules Acknowledgement. There are no other prerequisites or signatures
to gather. E-mail ua-elect at mit.edu for the appropriate forms and then drop them
off in the UA Office (W20-401) by Monday at 5pm.
Meet influential Admin, help guide important projects, allocate thousands of
$$$, run for UA Senate!
Voting Starts This Monday and extends until next Friday (9/29).
