Hey Fellow Students!
Ever wonder in puzzlement about what an administrator was thinking when
they made a certain decision?
Confused about how students sit on Faculty and Administrative committees
yet we never hear what is going on behind closed doors?
Interested in a low-intensity way to advocate on behalf of the things
that make MIT unique?
Step up and use your voice, apply to sit on an Institute Committee
<http://web.mit.edu/ua/www/committees/nomcomm/>!
This year we have more than 60 seats to fill on almost 30 different
committees, from the IS&T Advisory Board (which oversees MIT Cable) to
the Committee on the Use of Humans as Experimental Subjects (sounds
fun!). For the first time, we will also be filling general seats on the
CAC Advisory Board, the Campus Dining Advisory Board and the PSC
Steering Committee.
These are the committees where important decisions affecting student
life are made. Please take five minutes out of your hectic day to
consider volunteering to advocate on behalf of your fellow students. The
deadline for submitting applications is Wednesday, May 3rd at Noon.
Visit http://web.mit.edu/ua/www/committees/nomcomm/ for more information.
