Dear Students,

As many of you are already aware, it is with immeasurable sadness that
we have lost a beloved and prominent member of our graduate student
community this past week. Our condolences are with the bereaved.

The Medical Department has added a web page that includes an invitation
to a drop in support session tomorrow, Friday the 14th, from 10 am to 3
pm in E23-364, self-care information, on-campus support resources and
links to additional information from trusted sources:

The Graduate Students Council has also posted the following information:

It could be a troubling thing for many of us to deal with, so we want to
ensure that you know about the resources on campus. Here is a partial
list of the people and support groups with whom you can discuss your
questions and concerns. These resources are available throughout the
year, so if you ever have any problems with personal and/or academic
stresses, we encourage you to take advantage of them:

--Your GRT, RA, or Housemaster

--MIT Medical Mental Health Service (617-253-2916):

If you ever have any questions for us, please feel free to contact
ua at mit.edu anytime. We'll try our best to provide answers or help point
you in the right direction. Best of luck on the end of the year, and
have an enjoyable summer.
