Hello,
As you know, Charles Vest recently announced his plans to step down from his
role of MIT president. The search for his replacement begins now.
For the first time, students will be represented directly in this important
process. The Undergraduate Association is looking for students to participate
in the Student Advisory Group that will advise the MIT Corporation during the
search process. If you'd like to play a role in selecting the next president of
MIT, please visit:

Applications are due by Sunday, January 25. Work will begin during the latter
part of IAP and continue throughout the spring term. This is a rare opportunity
and I encourage all of you to take part in this historic process, whether it be
through direct membership in the Student Advisory Group or through participation
in forums that will be held in the coming term.
Sincerely,
Pius A. Uzamere II
Undergraduate Association President
