Interested in trading some of the more modern and sophisticated
instruments like futures, options and derivatives? In today's global
market, the value of any asset can be impacted by movements in the FX
market. Although this market has traditionally been used for hedging
other assets (and liabilities), there is substantial untapped potential
to generate excess returns by trading currencies as its own asset class.
*Who: *Anyone, experienced or novice, who is interested in learning the
fundamentals and ‘mechanics’ of trading the FX market.
*When:* Thursday, April 21st, 2005
*Where:* Sloan Trading Room, E52-010 (basement of Sloan Building)
*Schedule of Events for Thursday, April 21st:

*5:00PM* - Come trade futures with us in a simulated “Pit Trading” game.
Jean-Claude will provide personal attention to everyone -- from those
who have never traded before to seasoned experts looking to hone their
skills. Substantial cash prizes will be provided to top finishers at the
end of the round.
*6:00PM* - Pizza and informal conversation
*7:00PM* - "Generating Alpha from the Currency Markets". J-C will
develop the rational behind FX trading. Learn the basics and ‘Mechanics’
to launch a successful start as an FX Trader. A question and answer
session will follow the presentation.
