[Technique] Photo Critique and discussion tomorrow!

Hey guys,

Happy Halloween! Tomorrow, we’ll have a photo critique at 1pm in the office, and a equipment training before at noon. Please bring any photos that you want an opinion on. If you’re interested in photography and developing your eye, this is a great way to do it!

Also, hopefully you’ve had a chance to submit your photos to the server, as our first submission deadline is tomorrow! If not, please submit your photos!


Here’s how to access our server and submit photos:

WINDOWS: Go into Windows Explorer and type in the address bar:  “\\technique.mit.edu\CameraDump\<smb://technique.mit.edu/CameraDump/>”
(personally, I like to mount this folder as a network drive for easy access)
(also, if that doesn’t work, try "\\technique<smb://technique>.mit.edu<http://mit.edu>\CameraDump16\”)

MAC OS-X: Go into Finder, click Go > Connect to Server... (or press Command+K).  Type in the server address bar: "smb://technique.mit.edu/CameraDump”

Username: staph
Password: Ask any manboard member for this! (probs good to not email out server passwords lol)

Create a folder for yourself in CameraDump16 and start putting your photos in there! Remember to submit RAW files (NOT JPEGS!)

IMPORTANT: You can view and copy stuff but you can't edit anything. This means if you right click > New Folder, you won't be able to rename or delete it. So, create all your folders on your local machine and drag 'n drop them over.
