[Technique] Run for Junior Manboard!

Hello!

We've been really happy to see a lot of you around the office, and want you
all to get more involved with Technique so we can see you even more! The
best way to do that is by joining Junior Managing Board (or Manboard for
short).

We'll be having elections *SATURDAY OCTOBER 19th*! That's in less than 2
weeks.

*If you're interested in any of these positions, please email me back with
a little blurb about your interest in the position/qualifications. *It's
okay if you don't have  much experience for some of these positions.

*JUNIOR MANBOARD POSITIONS*:
(Number in parenthesis indicates number of positions available)

Junior Managing Editor (1):
Managing Editor- Kirsten Lim (kblim at mit.edu)

   - Manage club finances through RFPs and things
   - Organize outside photography booths!
   - Will become temporary maned during IAP, because I will not be here.

Junior Living Group Editor (2):
LG Editor- Jennifer Huang (jennh at mit.edu)

   - Takes lots of photos of living groups! (aka you get to meet cool
   people)
   - Visit all the dorms/cool places (EC group photos are usually in
   awesome places)

Junior Design Editor (1-2):
Design Editor- Gal Koren (koren at mit.edu)

   - Help make the book!
    - Edit the different sections and put everything together in InDesign
   - Take artsy photos for the break-pages
   - Role would involve some lettering by hand and digital tracing (should
   have experience with Illustrator or want to learn!)
   - Should be interested in typography

Junior Photography Editor (1):
Photo Ed- Julie Ko (kojulieh at mit.edu) & Walter Menendez (walterm at mit.edu)

   - Develop a keen eye for selecting photos
   - Help pick photos for the yearbook
   - Obtain awesome photoshop skillz

Junior Film Editor (2):
Film Editor- Aaron Baumgarten (asbaum at mit.edu)

   - Become familiar with chemicals and workings of dark room.
   - Teach and promote such workings.
   - Help keep space organized and clean.
   - Make contact prints for hours on end during IAP. (Party times with
   Aaron)
   - Anything that Aki wants done in DR should be done.

Junior Journal Editor (1):
Journal Editor- Kristin Wiseman (kmw at mit.edu)

   - Help compile the events from the year for the journal section of the
   yearbook
   - Track down awesome student writing pieces for the book

Junior Activities Editor (1):
Activities Editor- Kojo Acquah (kacquah at mit.edu)

   - Help coordinate photography of student group events
   - Help edit the activities photos for the yearbook
   - Spend time with Kojo


Junior Sports Editor (1):
Sports Editor- Andrei Ivanov (aivanov at mit.edu)

   - Take lots of sports photos!
   - Help pick out the sports photos for the book

Junior Techno Czar (1):
Techno Czar- Nasir Adaya (adaya at mit.edu)

   - Help calibrate all the monitors in the office
   - Help clean out the techno cabinet (potential for free stuff!)
   - Help maintain and run the website (front and back end)
   - Help upkeep our server

Junior Publicity (1):
Publicity Director- Harini Suresh (hsuresh at mit.edu)

   - Help coordinate publicity of yearbook and yearbook events
   - Create different advertisements for the yearbook


So you might be asking, what are the perks?
1. You get to hang out with manboard all day errday. But actually you get
to know cool people better/learn lots of new things. And you get better
access to Technique stuff since we know your face.
2. FREE YEARBOOK!!!
3. Free food over IAP
4. Potential to get a cabinet key! Especially if you do a lot of work for
us!
5. Very likely to be on Manboard next year!
