If you are signed up for this week's tutorial, you must bring the camera you borrowed from last week back at 1pm Saturday! I'll be running the tutorial shortly thereafter.

If you want to participate in next week's or some other week's tutorial, you can sign up at the meeting or shoot me an email.

Lastly, if for some reason you want to do all the things above but are going on the photo trip or can't be here Saturday, email me and we'll figure it out.

To answer some common questions I've received:

1. No, we will not be doing studio shots. These are all outdoor shots taken between 1:30 - 3:30pm.
2. You are free to leave whenever you want.
3. Yes, you can just come for food and bail, but I'm going to give you some really weird looks and ask awkward questions.
4. The dancers will be coming with us on the trip, meeting us at the TNQ office. There is no before or after. The event only lasts from 1-3:30pm.
5. Yes, I can order vegetarian and vegan.

Hey guys,

I'm teaching the class this Saturday and I'm taking you all on a photography trip!
I am technique's co-sports editor, and I do a TON of dance photography outside of Technique. Check out my link to my photo blog below if you're interested.

Here is a detailed schedule for the day:

1:00pm - Eat at the Technique office. We're having wraps from Grille705. If you have requests, let me know! http://www.grille705.com/specialtywraps.html
During this time, I will be giving a quick camera tutorial. The basics of the camera, the basics of composition, and how to capture action shots well.

1:30pm - Heading out to Boston! We will take the #1 Bus across the bridge, to the Christian Science Church. We'll walk past the huge viewing pool, past Prudential, and get to Copley Square, Trinity Church (architecture modeled after Greek styles).

3:30pm - Head back to MIT.


Notes: We will have a couple of dancers. One confirmed, is a wonderful ballet dancer who also dances for MIT! We might get a hiphop male dancer too. They'll be coming along with us and being our willing subjects. Of course, we'll be taking pictures of each other too!

AND STAFF PLEASE RETURN YOUR CAMERAS BY 1PM ON SATURDAY!!! There will be people in the office tonight and Friday night after 5pm!!!!!!! We have a lot of new eager shooters, so please return your cameras!!!! :)
