Hello all,
Tomorrow we'll be having our first tutorial of the the fall!
*"Camera Basics"* by Biyeun (our Photo Ed) and Laura (our Film Ed).
Learn about the physics behind how an image is formed, the mechanics of the
two general types of cameras (film and digital SLRs), basics of shooting
(how to load film, choose and change lenses) and the type of equipment we
have here at TNQ!
We will meet at 1pm in the Technique office as usual, but the tutorial will
begin at *1:30pm* and be in room *1-132*.
For those of you not interested in the tutorial :( I will be hanging around
the Technique office so you are certainly welcome to chill.
However, food will be in room 1-132 (don't tell facilities).
Laura will be bringing your disposable cameras and other film to Colortek
for processing on Monday so hopefully we can share photos at next weekend's
meeting.
And of course, next Thursday is......ADITL!
*A Day In The Life* is Technique's annual celebration of photography and
MIT! On September 23rd, we'll be asking everyone at MIT to carry a camera
with them to take photos of their days and to upload their photos to our
server at:
You can also check out other participants' photos at the above address, by
time and by person. It's a really great event, and we're even getting an
MIT spotlight for it.
Morgan made a fantastic poster for it which you should print out and put up
around your dorm/FSILG/lab/room/etc. (attached)
Hope to see you tomorrow!
