Hey film photographers! (we few, we happy few)

The deadline for photo submission is techincally in an hour, but you film
afficianados get some leeway. There are several ways to submit your film
photos.

BEST:
- Develop your film. DO NOT cut into fives yet!* Just trim off the ends.
- Come to the tnq office. In the Manboard office, Ansel Adams (the
smaller Mac) has a film scanner.
- Open VueScan.
- The settings should be set correctly, but here's a few worth double
checking:
 	- Input:Batch scan: All
 		Scan dpi: 3200
 		Number of samples: 3
 	- Output: Default folder: YOURFOLDER/Film/ROLL#ORNAME
 		Auto file name: checked
 		TIFF file: checked
 		TIFF file name: 01+.tif
 		Copyright: YOURNAME
- Insert the starting end of the roll into the scanner. The scanner
should wind up your film a bit.
- In VueScan, press Scan.
- Go get some food. Come back.
- Cut your film into strips of five and put them in a film storage sheet.
Label the film sheet with your initials, v10, and roll # or roll name.
- Put the film sheet in your folder in the filing cabinet labeled 2009
Drawer. Don't have a folder? Make yourself one.
- Send me an email to claim your Clara-brand Respect Points.
- Do all this before Tuesday.

* If your film is already cut, no worries. You can follow the exact same
instructions, but you'll need to load each strip of film, so you probably
won't have time to go get dinner.

GOOD:
- Develop, cut, label, and file your film. By MONDAY.
- or if you have colour film, drop it off in the bin at the tnq office by
MONDAY MORNING. We are going to Colortek on Monday!

BAD
- Leave your sad undeveloped/unused film lying around your room forlorn
and forgotten. Failure all around.

If you need help with any of this, whether developing or scanning, feel
free to email me! I'll be around the office a fair amount, especially in
the evenings.

Clara.
