Hey all,
This Saturday we'll be teaching both how to use the darkroom, and how to
shoot Living Group photos. Put it in your calendars...
-------------
Darkroom lessons will be going on for the next three weeks! Since we
can only fit four people in the darkroom (along with your instructor),
we're doing signups. To signup for darkroom lessons:
1) Go to http://docs.google.com
2) Log in username: tnq.staph password: velvia35mm
3) Click on the "Fall 07 Darkroom Signup Sheet" spreadsheet
4) Fill in your name in one of the spots!
Remember to have some exposed black and white film ready to develop.
-------------
This Saturday, we'll be teaching how to photograph a Living Group shot.
Dozens of living groups across campus pay us to take their photo and
publish it in the yearbook. It's hard work! You have to drag over
light stands and strobes, and be careful about exposure. You also can't
be shy and you have to be able to tell those frat boys to squeeze in the
frame! You get paid $10 for the shot, but its more for the fun than
anything. You also go in teams of two, so don't worry too much.
For now, those that already know photography basics (exposure, etc)
should volunteer to take LG shots. Later in the semester, those that
are learning can start! This Saturday at 1:15 SHARP we'll start showing
you how its done.
-------------
And, as always, whether you're there for living group lessons or
darkroom lessons or just to hang out, food at 1pm. W20-451.
-Dave
