Today marks the 100th anniversary of the canonization of St. John Vianney, the patron saint of priests—especially parish priests. His incorrupt body is enshrined in the basilica at Ars, France. He was the parish priest for Ars.

On this special day, would you please say a prayer asking God to inspire more men from the MIT Catholic Community to answer the call to the priesthood?

MIT has a proud tradition of graduates answering the call to the priesthood. Tomorrow, one of them—Father Gabriel, Class of 2005—will join me in celebrating Holy Mass in the MIT chapel.

Blessings and peace,

Fr Michael

“Jesus loves you always, even when you don’t feel worthy.
When not accepted by others, even by yourself sometimes,
He is the one who always accepts you. Only believe, you are precious to Him.
Bring all you are suffering to His feet, only open your heart to be loved by Him as you are.
He will do the rest.” Saint Mother Teresa
