The miraculous image of the Blessed Mother is amazing. After close inspection of the tilma, reflected in the eyes of the Blessed Mother is Juan Diego, whom she was looking at!

The tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe is made from coarse agave (cactus) fibers, specifically ixtle or popotule fiber, woven into a rough cloth. This natural material of the cloak would typically disintegrate within 20-30 years, yet it has miraculously remained intact for nearly 500 years, defying scientific explanation for its preservation and the inexplicable nature of the image itself.

Blessings and peace,

Fr Michael

“Jesus loves you always, even when you don’t feel worthy.
When not accepted by others, even by yourself sometimes,
He is the one who always accepts you. Only believe, you are precious to Him.
Bring all you are suffering to His feet, only open your heart to be loved by Him as you are.
He will do the rest.” Saint Mother Teresa
