[TCCM] Gold Mass for Scientists and St. Albert the Great Lecture This Sunday

for a celebration of the science and engineering professions in a Gold
Mass, reception, and lecture:

*Gold Mass:*

   - 9:30 - 10:30 AM, MIT Chapel
   - The Gold Mass is one of many special Masses held for different
   professions. The oldest Mass for professions, the Red Mass, was established
   in the 13th century for lawyers and lawmakers. More recently, *the first
   Gold Mass for scientists and engineers was held at MIT on Nov. 15,
2016. *Join
   us in continuing this tradition where it started!

*Reception / Refreshments:*

   - 10:30 - 11 AM, MIT Building W11, Main Dining Room

*St. Albert the Great Lecture: "**Was the origin of life a miracle? A
lecture on our origins, the nature of miracles, and the scientific method,"
- *Prof. Karin Öberg, Professor of Astronomy, Harvard University

   - 11 AM, MIT Building W11, Main Dining Room
   - The lecture is made possible by a grant from the Catherine
   McLaughlin-Hakim Fund.

These events are organized by the MIT Tech Catholic Community (

Catholic Scientists (http://scs.mit.edu/).
