[TCCM] Elections for TCC Council

Brothers and Sisters,

The TCC Elections Commission is now accepting nominations for council positions whose terms will expire at the end of this semester. Nominations will be accepted until 11:59pm on Monday, April 29th. The Council will vote on positions at the Council meeting on Sunday, May 5th.

Please submit nominations for council positions by emailing the Elections Committee at tcc-election at mit.edu<mailto:tcc-election at mit.edu>.

We have three empty positions which need to be filled:

  1.  Service Chair. Please contact tcc-sc at mit.edu<mailto:tcc-sc at mit.edu> if you have questions.
  2.  Social Chair. Please contact tcc-cc at mit.edu<mailto:tcc-cc at mit.edu> if you have questions.
  3.  Publicity Chair. Please contact tcc-publicity at mit.edu<mailto:tcc-publicity at mit.edu> if you have questions. Can be a social chair and publicity chair concurrently.

We will also choose the Orientation and Outreach Committee. This committee plans and runs CPW and REX. In the past the committee has also had other positions on the council concurrently, however that is not necessary. Here are the rest of the positions whose members are up for re-election:

  3.  Prayer and Liturgy Chairs

  8.  Undergrad Members-At-Large
  9.  Graduate Members-At-Large
  10. Webmaster

IMPORTANT: The elections committee will contact all nominees to confirm their nomination. However, please consider talking personally to an individual prior to nominating him or her, because (1) a personal appeal from a friend is more effective and (2) the nominations committee will already by pretty busy without trying to answer lots of questions from nominees (although we will do our best to talk to everyone).
