We are delighted to announce that Elina Roldan will be joining us this year at the 2016 Chicago Mini Tango Festival. Elina has agreed to teach primarily the Intensive Beginner Program for those who have never danced tango as well as for those who danced for a few years but want to brush up their fundamentals. Elina is excited about returning once again to the Chicago Mini Tango Festival. Elina participated previously in the 2009 and 2010 Chicago Mini Tango Festivals.
Biography
Elina Roldan, Argentine tango dancer and teacher, is among the most recognized and respected dancers in the world of tango. She is one of the most favorite partners by both, the old and the new generations of Argentine tango in Buenos Aires and wherever she travels. Elina is especially well-known for her inimitable milonga with traspie.
Elina regularly teaches classes in Argentina and in different countries such as Uruguay, Chile, England, USA, Holland, Switzerland, Slovenia, Spain, Brazil, Japan, Canada, Germany, France, Sweden, Italy, and Austria. Furthermore, Elina also has taken part in innumerable shows and exhibitions with different tango dancers throughout her career.
Elina is intuitive like very few others. She provides clear and fine remarks in concise words. Who needs more? She has already said everything ... the rest is personal work.

The three-day Intensive Beginners' Program is perfect for those who have never danced tango as well as for those who danced for a few years but want to brush up their fundamentals. The Program, comprised of five workshops, is designed to immerse you in the essential elements of Argentine tango social dance, including the movement, the musicality, the navigation, embrace and etiquette so you can attend and enjoy milongas (tango social dances) on your own during and after the Festival.
