[Tango-L] Cheryl Burke Forever Tango interviews

What exactly is meant by
"she really knew nothing about the dance"
Does that mean that prior to training she never danced argentine tango?
I know people who have danced for 5-10 years who state that they know
hardly anything about the dance.
