In this case, they were still freezing when I was just leading regular molinetes.  Freezing without spiraling out of the gancho.  Voguing.  I had to tell them all they they were still responsible for dancing to the music themselves.  When I got them to just dance without thinking about doing the gancho, they weren't as bad and could do the gancho more fluidly.  
 
Too often women don't realize how much they can contribute or restrict the dance.
