[Tango-L] Documentary on the Bandoneon

The 2010 International Tango Festival has just concluded in Argentina, and it paid special tribute to the bandoneon, the instrument that gives the dance its unique sound.

But the distinctive sound of the tango as we know it could be under threat.

In this week's Latin American Focus on Al Jazeera, Lucia Newman reports on efforts to protect this age-old instrument from extinction. (Sept 04, 2010)
