This whole situation can be avoided by the male engaging in conversation 
with his partner, reversing bum-first into the line of dance with no 
heed to traffic,  standing and finishing the conversation at leisure, by 
which time he has ample space in front, and congestion behind - but hey, 
mission-accomplished.  :(
