I entirely agree, what i meant is that there is no other notation than 4x4 up to the present time.
 
Tango music is associated so musch with the culture in the Rio de la Plata of earlier periods, that modern Argentines seem to be unable to create tangos like the old ones.
 
What a pity! no?
