The only ones I know for whom patterns are a struggle are students who've
had them imposed. The only ones I know who claim everyone struggles with
patterns are their instructors.

The struggle comes from the imposition, not the pattern.

Patterns yes, struggle no.

The music has patterns. The floor has patterns. Our moods have patterns.
When we dance to the music, the floor and our moods, inevitably our dance
will have patterns.

Like many other things beautiful things in nature. With no struggle at all.
