[Tango-L] BsAs glow (previously bad, wrong, Nuevo)

Ok, I will try to tackle this one. My response is
predicated on 12 visits to BsAs but also on the
information gleaned from reading 15+ Blogs from folks
who have made the trip and then reported on their
adjustments when they returned to their ( mostly) US
communities.

What we 'get' in BsAs is CONFIDENCE. Confidence that
we have been asked to dance based on our skills as
seen on the dance floor, not on our youth or beauty or
sparklyt or revealing dresses. That wee are able to
follow even those who have not taken the same classes
or workshops as those inour own communities. A
confidence that we will be cared for and protected by
our partners. That their goal is to make us feel
beautiful, not to show off their latest tricks. That
they will dance us to our abilities, not to theirs -
or beyond theirs. That they will never mess with our
balance or axis unless it is part of the movement.
That all the other folks on the dance floor are
respecting our space and the musicality of the music
and can be depended upon to move in a predictable way
so as not to startle us. That our partners will
appreciate us for being women and dance partners
without other expectations or game-playing.

Just off the top of my head.......feel free to add to
this all ye who have made the pilgrimage.
