Furthermore the chan chan is also pervasive in many other types of 
music, such as Afrocuban....  See, eg, "Chan Chan" by BVSC, which has 
chan chan at the end of every phrase.  So, conventional for certain 
artists, no doubt -- but not unique to tango.
