Before this goes any further:

                 The last time I was in Buffalo was about 10 years ago.

We had problems with somebody using my name or the name of other members of 
this list to post nasty messages, several times in the past .   Some of 
those messages even imitated my writing style or had lettle changes in my 
name or that of other members of the list.

We all knew who the poster was.

I know that it is very easy to identify where a message comes from but  if 
you have hacker tools you can easily forge IP addresses and header records.

If I wanted to do this type of fancy art work :

1 - I would go to the local library or to  a cyber cafe and use a different 
computer.

2 - I would change my writing style  since mine it is well known by the 
members of this list.

Finally and more important I received a message this morning  confirming our 
suspicions of who the culprit was.

IMO the best treatment of this kind of behavior is to ignore it till it goes 
away. The more you pay attention to it the worse it gets.

I do not have time to waste in this kind of nonsense.
