Today's Clarin has a story about the winning couples.

The salon winners are not a couple.  He is 33; she is 31.  The father of her
baby due in November doesn't dance tango.   Both are professionals who
competed among amateurs.  They said they got into the competition because
the rules allowed professionals, and many of the judges are their
colleagues.

The stage winners have other professions outside of tango and are not a
couple.  The Colombians (25 & 24 years of age) have danced together for five
years.

TCS, the company that organizes the pre-championships, is run by the owners
of the Abasto Hotel where competitors stayed during the competition.
