Perhaps the second choice might be the key... However, I don't think that
the key to tango is "how well your partner enjoys the dance". The reason I
say this is because we cannot control how much our partner enjoys the dance
every time. Sometimes it's just a "mala junta", but there is just no way to
assure one's partner's enjoyment of the dance every time. Also, there might
be times when one's partner is very happy with the dance but one might not
be so happy..... How can the key of tango be a case where one does not
enjoy's one's dance?

I'd say that the key to tango is how well everyone involved enjoys the
dance. Yes, even the other people on the floor can add or take away from the
enjoyment. I think the key to tango is a very elusive thing. Perhaps is
different things to different people, or even different things to each one
at different times. For me, it would be how much I enjoyed the dance.
Keeping in mind that my enjoyment of the dance is very closely correlated
with my partner's enjoyment of the dance too..

Manuel
