I can not, and no one can in the whole variety of human experience explain
all the cases. Of course, I know many teachers who are very useful, but
really can not dance well. But I was talking about GOOD teachers. Only a
person who is dancing well knows the dance ultimately. Others just know, or
able to explain only a part of it.

On the other hand there are many ways to dance good and there are many ways
to experience WOW. May be in your good-wow connection you were different,
but nevertheless he is a good dancer in his own way. And he was useful for
you. That is why a student should check many teachers. Not because they are
bad or good, but because they are different. And they are different than
you.
