Announcing a very special opportunity to meet and take instruction
with Javier Antar this summer.
Javier Antar has been dancing professionally and teaching tango for
over 9 years. His musicality, grace and elegance make him a riveting
dancer to watch, his technique makes his dance fluid and precise.
Javier is an outstanding teacher, his goal to transmit the pleasure of
dancing to his students. He is mostly based in Buenos Aires and in
Europe and only rarely travels to New York. This is a unique
opportunity to take instruction from him.
Javier will be in New York from July 17th to July 28th and will teach
an interesting series of workshops at Triangulo and will also be
available to teach private classes. To receive more information and

they are and recognizing them from the beginning will help a lot your
tango from the start!

How to use the basic elements with freedom
With the knowledge of the basic elements your dance will be to use
other concepts to start improvising from the first moment we know
about it!
Workshops for Intermediate/Advanced dancers
Saturday July 26th
4:00 - 5:30 Rhythm in the melody: how to use it in the dance.
Everything has a rythm, there is rythm in the melodies. Great
musicality is just a step ahead!
5:30 - 7:00 From sacadas to "imanes" (magnets)
You think it is a sacada coming...but no! surprise! it's a magnet!
Sunday July 27th
4 - 5:30 Non-ganchos
You think it is a gancho coming... but no! surprise! it's a...
5:30 - 7:00 Advanced Combinations
We will work on combining the elements to achieve more advanced
combinations in the dance.
The intermediate/advanced classes titled "From sacadas to imanes" and
"Non-ganchos" will focus on the elements of surprise.
