Fundamentals D: Workshop on Giros, paradas, sacadas and Lapices 

In this crash course a focus is put on turns (Giros). Emphasis will be placed
on how to lead a proper giro to the left and right, how to follow and execute a
proper giro and the different options and accompaniments. Different types of
Giros will be explored as well as the different speeds and dynamics. This
course is important to be able to execute proper turn, an important element of
traditional Salon Tango.

To gain a clear and profound understanding of giros, their execution and
uses and their accompaniments in the dance 

To develop more elegance, body control and balance 

To add new vocabulary to your repertoire and to be used on the social dance
floor

* Half turn to the Left with Lapiz and Parada for the man 

* Full turn to Left with Lapiz, Parada, closing and Woman’s “Zarandeo”
adornment 

* Giros to the Right with Sacadas for the man, adornment for the woman
