Hi all,
"Independent Weekly" is Triangle's (NC) most prominent
alternative/independent weekly newspaper.
In 1990, the Independent decided to honor artists, arts groups and
arts educators doing exceptional work in the Triangle with annual
Indies Arts Awards. The people they recognize might be volunteers or
professionals; the organizations might be nonprofits or commercial businesses.
"Whoever they are, and whatever they do, they do it for the love.
As in years past, this year's winners were chosen because of their
dedication to building artistic communities that are both challenging
and inclusive, constantly pushing their work to bring greater
richness to local audiences and, in the process, making the Triangle
an ever greater treasure of artistic opportunity for audiences and
fellow artists alike."
says Indy.

Tangophilia is honored by a "2006 Triangle Arts Award" from Indy!
It is certainly very rewarding to be recognized by the tango
community, by fellow instructors and dancers as well as by the
independent media for the labor of love that brings tango communities
to life and keeps them growing all around the world.
Look forward to seeing more tango enthusiasts/gypsies joining us for
special tango moments in the Triangle :-)
Don't miss the opportunity to study with Nancy Louzan & Damian Essel
for the first time in USA!
