Ruby Patel is someone who has been a real Friend of Tango in New York City.
In addition
to being a fine dancer, an excellent hostess and a super chef, she has been
an important and truly giving member of our community for a number of years.
Now, it is our hope that that the Tango community will help to return the
favor. Ruby has been undergoing medical treatment for a very serious
illness. Like many Americans, she is without health insurance. She is no
longer able to work, and the expenses are mounting.
In order to come to her assistance, Sara Ruderman (Tango Escape) and I
(Ellen Sowchek) , together with the fabulous folks at Dance Manhattan, are
organizing this benefit for Ruby at the regular monthly Blue Moon Milonga
hosted by Valeria Solomonoff.

There will be:
wonderful people and dancing excellent refreshments
The proceeds will go towards helping Ruby in what is really her time of
need.
 
 We hope that you will all be able to come. If you cannot,  however, and
