Update
  Several work orders were opened reporting no hot water.
Facilities responded hot water has returned to the building

Again, just allow the water to run for a little bit before it reaches you.

Repairs have been made and the water has now been restored to the Building.

Please be aware, It is not unusual after a water shut down to have discolored brown water or a milky like color (air in the line) from the hot water. This is normal and running the tap water for 10 minutes or until it becomes clear is the solution.

W84 WATER SHUTDOWN

WEDNESDAY 2/5/25

ENTIRE BUILDING



Building  Tang Hall

Date: FEBRUARY 5TH

Day: WEDNESDAY

9 am to 4pm

System: All domestic water (hot and cold)



This Facilities shutdown is to change a 6 inch line in the basement mechanical space that is leaking.

Also  to install new shut off valves under the bathroom vanity in 20B bathroom.



We are hoping to have the repairs completed within 5 to 6 hours. Residents will be updated



Effect:

Loss of hot and cold domestic water. This means that no bathrooms,

Showers, kitchens and drinking fountains will be operational during

this shutdown.



Warning:

To avoid flooding, please be sure all faucets are off and stay off for the duration of the shutdown.  If you try a faucet and find the water is still off, turn the faucet back off.



Please plan accordingly
