[Tang-Residents] IS&T upgrades continue

Please be aware,
Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), as part of our ongoing modernization of MIT's digital infrastructure, will be updating switches supporting the wired network jacks within campus buildings in the coming months.

In order to prepare, IS&T is scheduling network maintenance in Buildings W1-W2-W4-W5-W7-W46-W61-W70-W71-W79-W84-W85 on the evening of Thursday August 3rd between 7p.m. and midnight EDT.

The network (wired, Wi-Fi, VoIP, BMS) may be temporarily unavailable for up to 15 minutes during the maintenance window while the switches are retrofitted to a new configuration standard. This maintenance will not affect how you connect to the network today.
