Greetings Tang:
Recently we have had some warm days which have impacted the temperatures here in Tang. I'm resending the message below from Housing, with instructions on how to report any discomfort related to temperature so that facilities can track and make adjustments to the rooms in most need of attention.
Best,
D?awn

Dear Tang Residents,
Several weeks ago, we wrote to you regarding our approach to addressing the current heating system performance in Tang Hall. We're writing to provide a quick update on our progress to address high-priority areas within the residence.
At this time, we've completed system upgrades in twelve bedrooms and several common rooms. As you may recall, the improvements include the installation of balancing, temperature control and shut-off valves to allow for in-unit temperature controls.
In units where these upgrades have been made, we've received positive feedback from residents about their ability to better regulate temperatures within their units. We will continue to deploy these upgrades in units that have reported sustained temperatures that either exceed or fall below housing code regulations<http://xlgq9.mjt.lu/lnk/AVEAAC4fvB0AAch5C0AAALIUE9cAAYCq8E8Am2KxAA6qGQBglYc0bBOT4lDYTDC9RyMvEYRTTgAOfxQ/1/77d1gVtLk28N7pEDW5ivHg/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubWFzcy5nb3YvZG9jLzEwNS1jbXItZGVwYXRtZW50LW9mLXB1YmxpYy1oZWFsdGgtY21yLTEwNS00MTAwMDAtbWluaW11bS1zdGFuZGFyZHMtb2YtZml0bmVzcy1mb3ItaHVtYW4vZG93bmxvYWQ> during the heating season (High 78°F (25°C) / Low 64°F (17°C) between 11:01 pm and 6:59 am and a Low of 68°F (20°C) between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm).
As a reminder, if you're experiencing a non-urgent heating concern or have a maintenance request, please submit a repair request online through the Atlas website<http://xlgq9.mjt.lu/lnk/AVEAAC4fvB0AAch5C0AAALIUE9cAAYCq8E8Am2KxAA6qGQBglYc0bBOT4lDYTDC9RyMvEYRTTgAOfxQ/2/D0srndjQAe46EZmF0BPhiA/aHR0cHM6Ly9hdGxhcy5taXQuZWR1L2F0bGFzL0hvbWUuYWN0aW9u> with as much detail as possible. If you encounter an urgent heating or maintenance request and your House Operations Manager, Michael Collins<mailto:collinsm at mit.edu>, is away from the office, please contact HRS Operations ("Unit-12") at (617) 253-1500. On evenings, weekends, and holidays, residents may also dial (617) 253-1500.
We will continue to work directly with building residents, your Heads of House and House Operations Manager, and partners across the Institute to provide a sustainable, long-term resolution while responding to immediate needs. As the heating season draws to a close, we will continue to evaluate several long-term options to upgrade the building's heating system. We will continue to provide the Tang community with updates regarding DOF's assessment of long-term options going forward.
Sincerely,
