Good Morning Tang Hall:

Hope you all are well and are continuing to honor the safety protocols in place to protect the community. Reports from the number of concerned roommates have dropped so that is a good sign, especially as we explore how to safely populate the campus.

In our town hall, we merged your questions with questions from other town halls, and forwarded them to the administration. What became clear is that you want to help and that your ideas and concerns are vital to the institutes finding the right approach. So they want to hear more.

Soon an invitation will be sent to the entire community to participate in some online activities designed to help the institute think through options and their implications. It will include a website with background material, reporting mechanism to capture and synthesize feedback, and ways to participate.

I would like to highlight one activity in particular called "Charettes" happening next week - May 26th (2-4pm) and May 27th (9:30-11:30am & 3-5pm). This will be formal groups with facilitated conversation. Small group discussions are separate opportunities, but can have more informed participants. So look out for that.

A final note, I uploaded a pre-published article on the transmissibility of Covid-19, to the Tang slack channel, especially for the joggers and walker amongst us.

Best,

Dawn
