ELEVATOR UPDATE 2/27/2020

Hello,
As the contractors work on cart #1 , minor unexpected issues have been discovered on the top couple of floors that soon will be resolved with the hopes of moving this schedule along.

The biggest change that was found is that they will not be able to put
cart #1 back in service at the end of the day.

This will remain off line until completed

This will cause a bit of delay but with the other 2 operating it should not be a huge impact with service.

We apologize for the inconvenience we appreciate your patience.

Dear Tang Residents,

I am writing to share information regarding an upcoming project to replace all elevator doors throughout Tang Hall. Starting on Monday, February 3, crews will begin the process of replacing each elevator door during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, with no work expected during weekends. The total estimated timeline to complete this process for all 3 elevator shafts is 3 to 4 months.

As crews begin this process, here are some details that may be of interest to you:

* Doors are being replaced at a rate of 1-2 floors per day. The crews will start on Floor 24 and work down through each floor.

* Cart #1 will be taken offline first and service will be suspended each day during work hours until the door replacements are completed. Working hours are 7am to 4pm. Please note that Cart #1 will be back in service at the end of the 4pm work schedule.

* After completion of Cart #1 door replacements, Cart #3 will follow the same process. Cart #2 will be the final elevator shaft impacted.

* During work hours, the alternative elevator carts that are not undergoing replacements will be fully operable to residents.

I will provide updates as this work continues and please feel free to contract me if you have any questions or concerns.

As always thank you for your patience and understanding.
