Subject: Update:  Emergency Notification - Campus Power Interruption



Update: At approximately 8am this morning, MIT experienced a power interruption that affected many buildings on campus. Cause of the interruption was a 13-8 campus loop fault in a manhole outside of building W84.

At this time, portions of buildings 1, 3, 5, 7 and 7A are still without power. In addition, all of buildings W1, W2, W4, W5, W7, W15, W16, W20, W31, W32, W61, W70, W71, W84, W85 and TDC (Independent Living Group) are without power. Buildings without power will remain without power for approximately 2 hours while repairs are being made. More information to follow as it becomes available.
