[Tang-Residents] Emergency elevator testing today

Please be aware there will be an emergency testing to the elevators today!

On Tuesday Oct. 8, 2019 from 12:30 pm to 1:30pm , The MIT Fire Protection Team will be testing the automatic transfer switches for Bldg. W84. The transfer switches provide AC power to the life safety and other critical building systems in the event of a power loss. Some equipment will experience a brief loss of power when switching from normal to generator power and from generator back to normal power. If properly maintained and safeguarded the equipment should function properly and remain in normal service under both power sources.
