[Tang-Residents] REMINDER: Do Not Hang Anything from Pipes or Sprinkler Heads

Dear residents,

Welcome back from spring break! I hope you all had a chance to rest and relax.

As we get ready to finish the spring semester, I wanted to share a very important reminder:

Please do NOT hang things from the sprinklers or pipes in your rooms, common areas, kitchens, bathrooms, or hallways. Sprinkler heads are very sensitive and will flood the area with hundreds of gallons of water very quickly if activated.

Once activated, it takes several minutes to shut off a sprinkler, and requires the fire department to arrive before it can occur. This is plenty of time to flood multiple rooms, hallways, and other areas.

Please be careful and avoid sprinkler heads as much as possible. This will ensure the building, and your belongings, remain safe and dry.
