Dear residents,

As part of the ongoing generator replacement project, two key pieces of work are scheduled to take place. Please take a minute to read the information below as some of this work may be disruptive:

Starting Friday, October 21 through Monday, October 24<x-apple-data-detectors://4>, Eversource, MIT’s gas supplier, will be on site to tie in a gas line that has been rerouted. This work will take place near the new generator pad area outside of W85 A, B, and C entry.

This work is not considered disruptive and minimal noise or vibration is expected. There may be some odor of gas while this work is completed and you may want to close your windows during the work hours of9AM to 5PM<x-apple-data-detectors://5> to ensure you do not smell the odor. Although the contractor believes the odors will remainin the trench close to the pipe, we wanted to provide notice so you are not alarmed while this work is taking place.

Beginning Monday, October 31<x-apple-data-detectors://6>, work to install the new concrete pad for the generator will begin. Four pressure injected footings will be driven into the ground by machine and are designed to support the weight of the generator. This work will produce a loud and constant noise and vibration during the entire work day.

Work hours will be 9:00 am - 5:00 pm<x-apple-data-detectors://7> daily and the work will take 5 days to complete, weather permitting.

We understand this work will be very disruptive and we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Thank you in advance for your patience during this critical work.

Please contact me if you have any questions or require more details.

Jennifer
