Facilities department is on sight trying to resolve the lack of water on the upper floors

Hope to have the entire building back  with water pressure to upper floors

Please be aware the water has been turned back on to the building.

There may be some air in the pipes or discolored water when you first turn on your faucet
Please allow the water to run a few minutes but water will clear itself thank you

Subject: Domestic hot and cold water shutdown

Dear Tang Hall Residents

MIT Facilities has scheduled a domestic hot and cold water shutdown for Tuesday June 30, 2015 in Tang Hall from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This work is necessary to cut and cap old plumbing lines for the new public bathroom as part of the renovations taking place on the 24th floor.   At this time, there is the potential for 2-3 more shutdowns this summer. The construction team has been asked to provide at least one-week notice for any further shutdowns.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please plan ahead as both hot and cold water will not be available during this time.
