Subject: Utility work near W84

Dear Colleagues,

Work is scheduled to start today on a domestic water service main between Buildings W84 and W85.  The work will take approximately two weeks to complete. Work hours will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The work area is located on the pathway between buildings W84 and W85. View a map of the  area here: http://web.mit.edu/facilities/construction/docs/mit_w84_closure_map.pdf

This work includes excavating a pipe which will include use of a jack hammer and will generate some noise. Pedestrian access to and from the buildings in the area will remain available during this work.  The construction area will be fenced off and a plate will cover the work area in the evening.
