Hello Tang Residents,

For everybody who use the gym WiFi in the basement, Michael has helped us
contact IS&T to get it repaired. Please keep us updated as to whether the
gym WiFi continues to run.

Also, you can report other WiFi connection issues using this
link<http://rcc.mit.edu/help/wireless>.
(you might have to go to a different floor to get a signal.)

If you use a wired, rather than wireless connection, there is an analogous
link on the RCC website and on the Tang website <http://tang.mit.edu>.
Again, you might have to go to a different location or room to get a link.

Tang/Westgate has been historically under-served (based on oral history
within the THRA), so the more proactive we are about reporting poor
connections (i.e. the more noise we make), the more attention we will get.

Hello Mike, I've checked the management system and what we have listed for
the basement of W84 is only w84-004-ap-1, which appears to be working
properly. There appear to be three systems connected to it at present.

I can try resetting the unit, but if what we're seeing is just a coverage
issue, I'll have to come over and do a site survey for possibly adding an
additional access point.

I will reset the unit for now, and perhaps you can let us know in a couple
of days whether users have noticed an improvement.
