Dear Tang Residents

The MIT Facilities Department is conducting a study on the Westgate High-rise/Tang Hall in order to develop a scope of renewal needs for the building. This will provide an understanding of the full scope of needed upgrades.
Over the next eight weeks, a team of architects, engineers and construction staff will be in the building assessing the facilities. The work will begin in mechanical spaces in the basement then move to the public lounges, egress corridors and stairwells. At points the team will need to visit a single type of each apartment in the building. If access is needed to any resident's apartment, House Manager Michael Collins will give you a week's advance notice.
If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your House Manager or myself. Thank you for your assistance as the Institute works to improve the quality of residences across campus.

Best

Dennis J. Collins
